About Luke
Hello All:
For the past ten + years I have been working as a Test Engineer in the cellular & wireless certification industry. I have worked for three different ISO 17025 Wireless certification labs and a regional carrier. My rea mainly focused on 4G & 5G RF and RRM device certifications. These devices mostly were for residental deployment but some devices were designated for commerical deployment like UPS generators, utility meters and so on.  Recently, I have moved to the upstate and found that there not many RF testing or RF spectrum planning roles available in the area. Since, I plan on staying in the area I have thought about returning to school. In the meantime I am in serach for CNC, Electronic, or Electrical roles to start my new career in the upstate.

3GPP, GCF & PTCRB

In 2024, 3GPP had not made official testing requirements for residential cellular devices when it came to Satellite-to-Mobile communications (NTN). We tried to gather test data for 3GPP and PTCRB to be introduced at the next RAN meeting. Sadly, the project was canceled due to no official revenue being tied to that project. A wonderful experience however.

SME for Radio frequency and Radio resource Management

I got my start at Intertek and was employed almost 10 years, Near the end of career  there, I was elected an SME over Radio Frequency testing and ISO 17025 audits for RF and Radio Resource Management department in Wireless. I decided to leave to further my career.

Volunteer RF Engineer @ Amsat

As a member of Amsat, I volunteered to be a RF Engineer to assist with testing, video editing and wherever the need arose. Amsat's mission was to promote HAM radio in outer space. Powered by next generation students, HAM radio satellites are created, tested and allowed to hitch a ride on supply runs to the International Space Station via NASA & Space-X.
